This course supports beginning farmers in meeting the requirements of Ohio’s Beginning Farmer Tax Credit Program and the USDA FSA Borrower Training Program. Participants will build foundational knowledge in farm financial management, production record keeping, and enterprise analysis through ten structured modules and optional live Q&A sessions.

Along with the asynchronous modules, participants have the opportunity to attend 3 synchronous Content Overview and Q&A sessions scheduled for the following dates: 

  • Thursday, July 17th, 7:00 PM (Modules 1-3)
  • Thursday, August 14th, 7:00 PM (Modules 4-7)
  • Thursday, September 11th, 7:00 PM (Modules 8-10 and Business Plan)
