CRMGTPV X026 - A Compassion Focused Approach for Supporting Teens with ADHD

The call for compassion for ADHD teens is loud! Teens with ADHD are at an increased risk of experiencing anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts. This training answers the call for compassion by exploring how to support teens with ADHD from a Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) perspective. This approach is deeply healing and can be used to de-pathologize ADHD. Participants will learn an empowering, evolutionary perspective of what ADHD is and why it’s imperative to teach ADHD-diagnosed teens how to cultivate self-compassion and compassionate mind skills. This training is empirically-based but it is also influenced by the presenter's personal experience of living as an ADHD-trait human being for 53 years and serving for 27 years as a mental health professional working with ADHD teens and their families.
