HDFAMST X002 - Age-Friendly Course 1: Introduction to Age-Friendly Communities for AARP Leaders
Please Note: This course is for AARP Leaders, by invitation only. Please use the code in your invitation email to enroll at no cost.
Developed by the Age-Friendly Innovation Center at The Ohio State University College of Social Work, this course introduces the foundational principles of age-friendly communities. Participants will explore the history of the movement, key concepts for working with older adults, inclusive communication practices, and the initial steps for joining the Age-Friendly Network.
Delivery Options
Online Self-Paced: This course is asynchronous and can be completed at your own pace. It features rolling enrollment, allowing participants to begin any day after the posted start date and finish by the posted end date. There are no required live sessions.
Time to Completion
This course is expected to take approximately 8 hours to complete.
Course Completion Requirements
Participants must complete all modules and successfully pass the knowledge assessments to receive documentation of completion. No university credit or continuing education credit is awarded for this course.
