HDFAMST X006 - Age-Friendly: Working with Older Adults and Caregivers
This course introduces perspectives, knowledge, and skills for working with older adults and their informal caregivers across various settings, including communities, long-term care facilities, and hospitals. Participants will explore population aging, ageism, and the diversity of older adults, while gaining familiarity with assessment tools and local resources that support cognitive, mental, and social well-being. The course also offers insight into providing end-of-life care and bereavement support across disciplines and contexts.
Delivery Options
Online Self-Paced: This course is asynchronous and can be completed at your own pace. It features rolling enrollment, allowing participants to begin any day after the posted start date and finish by the posted end date. There are no required live sessions.
Time to Completion
This course is expected to take about 6–8 hours to complete. Participants must complete all modules and knowledge assessments to earn the certificate.
