This course introduces perspectives, knowledge, and skills for working with older adults and their informal caregivers across various settings, including communities, long-term care facilities, and hospitals. Participants will explore population aging, ageism, and the diversity of older adults, while gaining familiarity with assessment tools and local resources that support cognitive, mental, and social well-being. The course also offers insight into providing end-of-life care and bereavement support across disciplines and contexts.
