Vocabulary plays a critical role in life and overall success. Children's vocabulary knowledge helps them communicate, read, and make sense of the world around them. Vocabulary development in early childhood is highly predictive of later academic achievement. In this online training, participants will learn the importance of vocabulary instruction in early childhood classrooms, specific words to target for instruction, and effective strategies to support vocabulary development.
