The Ohio State University Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), Passport to Excellence includes a series of mini-courses designed to provide knowledge, skills, and abilities for individuals working in clinical research as clinical research professionals, staff, or junior investigators. This provides opportunities for asynchronous, on-demand micro-learning.

This course is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the requirements for informed consent processes in clinical research.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the basics of informed consenting
  • Identify the 9 elements of informed consent
  • Apply examples of the 9 elements for an Informed Consent (ICF) Process

What You’ll Earn

  • This course provides 0.5 Nursing Contact Hours from The Ohio State University College of Nursing at no charge. The OSU College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation, provider # N008222.
