The Ohio State University Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), Passport to Excellence includes a series of mini-courses designed to provide knowledge, skills, and abilities for individuals working in clinical research as clinical research professionals, staff, or junior investigators. This provides opportunities for asynchronous, on-demand micro-learning.

This course is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the requirements for informed consent and recognize how team science applies in quality informed consent practices.

What You’ll Learn

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify research team roles in informed consent.
  • Understand the interactions among stakeholders across the informed consent process.
  • Apply checks and balances within team interactions related to informed consent.
  • Recognize quality assurance measures to ensure safe and proper consenting.

What You’ll Earn

  • This course provides 0.7 Nursing Contact Hours from The Ohio State University College of Nursing at no charge.  The OSU College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation, provider # N008222. Upon course completion, a certificate will be sent to you.
