The Ohio State University Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), Passport to Excellence includes a series of mini-courses designed to provide knowledge, skills, and abilities for individuals working in clinical research as clinical research professionals, staff, or junior investigators. This provides opportunities for asynchronous, on-demand micro-learning.

This course is designed to provide a fundamental knowledge of the components of a clinical trial protocol that can be applied to conducting clinical research, developing clinical trial and other clinical research protocols.

What You’ll Learn

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Define what a clinical research protocol is and how it is used during a clinical trial.
  • Recognize the components of a clinical research protocol and how each component is applied during the conduct of a trial.
  • Identify the stakeholders that utilize the clinical protocol during a clinical trial.

What You’ll Earn

  • This course provides 0.9 Nursing Contact Hours from The Ohio State University College of Nursing at no charge. The OSU College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation, provider # N008222. Upon course completion, a certificate will be sent to you.
