An Interdisciplinary Approach to Care for Chronic Pain

Treating chronic pain can be both confusing and challenging. At PRE:VAIL, our mission is to empower patients with chronic pain to live productive and meaningful lives through coordinated, multimodal, team-based care by focusing on:

  • MOBILITY: movement around home, outdoors, and in the community
  • FUNCTION: activities of daily living, caring for self and others, work
  • COPING: emotional, mental, and spiritual wellness and resilience
  • QUALITY OF LIFE: purpose, fulfillment, and joy each day

Our main message is that movement is beneficial for chronic pain even if it hurts. With chronic pain, hurt does not mean harm. Movement is the main way the body heals itself.
