OPTM X902 - Binocular Vision and Pediatrics Forum 2026

The Binocular Vision and Pediatrics Forum is a unique, all-day continuing education conference taking place on March 20, 2026. The conference provides attendees with up-to-date information on topics related to binocular vision and pediatrics, including amblyopia, nystagmus, myopia management, vision screenings, neuro-optometry, and strabismus. All lecture hours are presented by Dr. Katie Connolly, a professor at the Indiana University School of Optometry.

Course Completion Requirements
Attendance and completion of course surveys provided at the end of each lecture are required. Surveys are delivered via QR code and are used to verify attendance.

Conference Fees:
- $160 for morning only session (no lunch)
- $120 for afternoon only session (no lunch)
- $280 for full day with lunch included
All registration fees will increase by $10 the week of activity (March 16–20).

- 8:30am: Current Concepts in Amblyopia Treatment (1 hour)
- 9:30am: Nystagmus Review for the Clinician (1 hour)
- 10:30am: Clinical Considerations in Myopia Management (2 hours)
Lunch
- 1:30pm: Data Driven and Practical Approach to Vision Screening (1 hour)
- 2:30pm: Neuro Optometric Cases Disguised as BV (1 hour)
- 3:30pm: Tips for Tackling Pediatric Strabismus (1 hour)
Speaker Bio:

Katie Connolly, OD, FAAO, is an Associate Clinical Professor at Indiana University School of Optometry (IUSO). She graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in 2014. After completing her pediatrics and binocular vision residency at IUSO in 2015, she became a member of their faculty and has been there ever since. She is the Chief of Pediatric and Binocular Vision Services, Director of the Myopia Management Clinic and serves as the residency coordinator for the Pediatric Optometry Residency at IUSO. She teaches in the clinic, laboratory and classroom in the areas of pediatric optometry, binocular vision and optometric coding and billing. Additionally, she conducts clinical research in the areas of pediatric amblyopia, strabismus and myopia control. She is local principal investigator for the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG). She leads several vision screening and eye exam initiatives at the local, state, and international level and is also a clinical director for Special Olympics Lions Club International Opening Eyes. In 2022, she was named Indiana’s Young Optometrist of the Year. In 2025 she was awarded the Meritorious Service Award for Indiana Optometry.
