MEDEDU X900 - 4th Annual Ohio State Sports Medicine Summit

The 4th Annual Ohio State Sports Medicine Summit features expert-led presentations from leading sports medicine professionals across multiple disciplines. This one-day, in-person event focuses on Endurance Medicine, with sessions covering differential diagnosis, injury prevention and treatment, nutrition, sleep and recovery, gait analysis, and emerging technologies. The summit also includes a keynote address by Dr. Jane Fitzpatrick, a renowned sports medicine specialist with extensive experience in Olympic and international sport.

- Understand indications for and clinical considerations of the Brostrom procedure.
- Implement injury prevention strategies using strength training, cross-training, nutrition, and sleep and recovery.
- Recognize signs of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S) and appropriate physiological treatment approaches.
- Explore sport psychology principles unique to endurance athletes.
- Observe live demonstrations of gait analysis, shockwave therapy, force plates, and hydration testing.
