SWK X201 - Stress First Aid for First Responders

This training will highlight the continuum of functioning that impacts humans while under stress. Participants will gain an understanding of how abnormal stress activation common in first responding work can cause stress injury that impacts the brain and body. Participants will gain tools to help identify stress levels on a continuum and how this can inform intervention and action in the moment. This training explores the parts of the brain that are most in control when under a real or perceived threat and uses a body-based and relational regulation frame to offer solutions.
