CRMGTPV X037 - Cannabis Use: Why Not? Discussion of First-Time Use and Crisis Risks

Cannabis is everywhere, and perceptions of its use vary widely. From individual state legislation around its legalization, to federal scheduling relegating it as having no medicinal benefit, to various off-shoots of cannabis products available in gas stations across the United States, there’s no escaping it. At the same time, the general public is curious and bombarded with misinformation about this seemingly simple plant. This training explores the myths, perceptions, and pros and cons of cannabis use that all clinicians should be aware of when working with people who use cannabis. Strategies for talking with someone who is in crisis after using cannabis are also discussed.
