The Art Education Virtual Dialogue Community explores a wide range of monthly topics related to art education practice such as advocacy, AI, inclusion, and more.
This community also offers the opportunity to network and engage with fellow art educators and develop applications for your own practice.
Delivery Options
Online Fixed Date: Each month, participants will have opportunities to engage asynchronously with a topic related to art education, participate in virtual dialogues with other art educators, and create resources for their own teaching.
Time to Completion
Depending on level of participation, monthly modules will take 1-10 hours to complete.
Course Completion Requirements
Learners have the opportunity to earn certificates of completion each month based on their level of participation.

- Computer, laptop, or tablet capable of video conferencing
- Webcam and microphone for participation in live sessions
- Access to the virtual meeting platform as specified

What You’ll Earn
- A Certificate of Completion from The Ohio State University Department of Arts Administration, Education and Policy.
Additional Information
Participants may enroll at any point to participate in a monthly module that includes a one-hour virtual dialogue, a monthly discussion forum, and a dig deeper assignment. Participants may complete one, two, or all three components.
Each module concludes with a check-in quiz where participants indicate which components were completed and provide feedback. AAEP will issue a certificate indicating the number of hours completed at the end of every month based on these quiz responses.
Each module is open for one month at a time. New topics are introduced monthly, and previous modules may be reopened periodically.
