HCMGT X003 - Principles of De-Implementing Low-Value Care (LVC) in Healthcare Settings
Low-value care includes tests, treatments, procedures, or care practices that provide little or no benefit, may cause harm, waste limited resources, or do not align with patient preferences. This course introduces the principles of de-implementation as a structured, evidence-based process for reducing or discontinuing ineffective, unnecessary, tradition-based, or potentially harmful health care practices. Participants will examine the prevalence and consequences of low-value care and explore strategies to eliminate low-value interventions.
