Stress is a fact of life however those people whose work in the health care field puts them in close contact with the seriously ill and dying, are at an even higher rate of stress than other occupational groups. Caregiver stress, if not responded to, is responsible for high degrees of absenteeism, presenteeism (a productivity measure), and illness in the workforce. This module is a review of how caregiver stress specifically manifests in the workplace.
