Angela Fry, MSW, LISW-S, earned both her Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) degrees from The Ohio State University. With a career rooted in trauma and abuse work, Fry has gained extensive experience through her service in various agencies across Columbus, Ohio. She began her career at CHOICES, a domestic violence agency, where she worked as a case manager supporting women residing in the shelter. She then spent a decade at Catholic Social Services, taking on diverse roles such as a home-based clinician for families involved with child protective services, an individual and couple’s counselor, group therapy facilitator, and eventually a clinical supervisor. After ten years at the same agency, she ventured out to try some new things and worked for a period with children who had been sexually abused, as well as in the foster care arena. She eventually returned to CHOICES, where she served as clinical supervisor for several years. Fry is now a professor in the social work and human services program at Columbus State Community College, where she shares her knowledge and experience with future social service professionals.
