GERONT X018 - Gerontology - Cooking for One or Two

One and two person households are the fastest growing segment of the population. According to the US Census Bureau (2010), almost 44% of older adults in the United States are single. As we age and our family dynamics change, we may find that we are cooking for fewer people, maybe just for ourselves. In this module, you will learn more about what makes up a nutritious meal, how to plan a nutritious menu using computer-based tools, tips for meal planning and saving money, and most importantly, food safety.
