BIOMSC X901 - Omics 4 Neuro - Multiomic Data Analysis, Integration, and Visualization

This three-day module teaches participants how to combine and interpret data from multiple omics platforms, including transcriptomics, epigenomics, and proteomics. Participants will learn to read common omics visualizations, run pathway enrichment analysis, and identify candidate transcription factors using motif and chromatin occupancy data. The module ends with participants building a regulatory network model that connects transcription factors, target genes, and protein interaction data. Each day includes a hands-on case study, giving participants a practical, repeatable process for integrating different types of omics data.
The module is intended for graduate students, postdocs, staff, and faculty who are working with (or planning to work with) data spanning multiple omics platforms and want to move from separate datasets to an integrated biological narrative. No prior coding required: all scripts and code templates are provided.
Delivery Options
Hybrid: A learning experience that combines online coursework with in-person instruction, activities, or events. Participants complete designated online learning components and attend scheduled in-person sessions.
Time to Completion
This program is projected to take approximately 18 hours to complete.
