HORTSCI X004 - Latinos in the Workforce

This course introduces American students, workers, supervisors, and business owners to key cultural, historical, and legal issues that arise in workplaces where Latino immigrant workers and American colleagues interact. Designed for individuals across all industries—not just agriculture and horticulture—this course prepares learners to work effectively and respectfully in diverse environments. While no Spanish is taught, some Spanish terms are introduced to enhance cultural understanding.
Delivery Options
Online Self-Paced: A fully online course with no scheduled class sessions or fixed due dates. Learners can begin at any time and progress at their own pace. Course content includes readings, videos, and interactive activities.
Time to Completion
This course is projected to take approximately 42 hours to complete.
Course Completion Requirements
Successful completion of this course requires completing all 33 modules in order and passing each of the module quizzes by a score of 80% before continuing to the next module. A final score of 80% or higher is required to pass.
